Dr. Jenny (Xheni) Tumba
Dr. Jenny (Xheni) Tumba is a child and adolescent, and adult psychiatrist who received her medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. She was born in Albania and grew up outside of Chicago. She has worked in a variety of settings including, inpatient, collaborative care with primary care physicians, school consultation, and outpatient. She works with patients over the age of 3 and their families. Dr. Tumba’s primary areas of interest include anxiety, mood disorders, and trauma. She is passionate about providing holistic care and taking a biological, psychological, cultural, and social approach to treatment.
Throughout her career she has been committed to fostering the growth and development of learners at all levels, from undergraduate students, medical students, residents, and fellows. Most recently she was an assistant clinical professor and associate program director for the child and adolescent fellowship at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Her dedication to teaching and mentorship has been recognized by multiple departmental awards for Excellence in Teaching and Academic Excellence.
She is also passionate about disseminating knowledge and has been invited to speak at various educational and professional events, further underscoring her commitment to advancing medical education and mental health awareness.
