Care for Albania is a non-profit organization, led by mental health professionals, based in Chicago, IL that works to end the suffering of children, families, and the elderly. We believe that with your help, we can strive to build a foundation for the generations that are the most vulnerable, children and the elderly. Although we are based in the United States, we partner with international organizations primarily in Albania, and plan to expand to neighboring countries

WHO WE CARE FOR
No child should ever go without food, shelter or education. Care for Albania is committed to raising funds for children in need domestically and internationally. We partner with organizations and orphanages that provide a fruitful future for children
CHILDREN
Families are too often torn apart by violence. We stand with survivors of domestic violence and mothers who are seeking safety for their families. We support those families that are beginning their journey of safety and continue to support those that have survived violence
FAMILIES
As the elderly face increasing costs of care and decreasing social support, we seek to encourage connection and charity to this unique group. Care for Albania works to protect our aging population to ensure they are not forgotten

HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE MEDIA
Care for Albania donates to the center of rehabilitation for children on the spectrum
Care for Albania donates to the Center of Rehabilitation, who helps provide children on the spectrum with all necessary materials needed to have better mental and physical health.
The mayor of Korca, Sotiraq Filo, expresses his gratitude to the donors who made contributions towards the equipment and all sensory materials needed for physical and speech therapists to do work with the kids of the center. He encourages us to continue helping those in need.
A daughter on the spectrum had 20 teeth fixed and 8 root canals
One of our priorities is to help improve the lives of children in need. We understand that healthcare in Albania and other countries can be expensive and not attainable. For one of our projects, we partnered up with a surgeon in Korca, Albania who specializes in working with children on the spectrum. With this project, we were able to help over 25 kids who needed dental work that cost up to $1,500/child.

Shtepia e Foshnjes, Orphanage Center
We partnered with Shtepia e Foshnjes, an orphanage in Korca, Albania to provide mental health awareness and resources to help children from the ages of 0-6

Helping children on the spectrum with dental care
In 2022 Care for Albania drove children on the spectrum and who had sensory issues to the capital of Albania to receive proper dental care from special trained dentists
